MWCBA president, Datuk Dr Ang Kiu Hwa said the money contributed by Jeunesse Global, a company specialising in anti-aging products, would be allocated to help, among others, single mothers, as well as to fund the association’s annual activities.
“Our concern is for women as we seek to provide them with networks and tools to enhance their economic condition, empowering them through seminars, lectures and skills training,” she said at the cheque presentation which coincided with the launch of Jeunesse products here.
They were unveiled by Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai.
In his speech, Lim said the government was appreciative of efforts by the private sector in helping less fortunate members of the community.
“It’s my personal hope that in the future companies will commit a fixed percentage of their profits towards undertaking their social responsibility,” he added.
